Translations Not Loading
Problem:
The Translations page shows a warning or fails to load.
Situation | Message | Solution |
|---|---|---|
No languages configured | "No additional languages are configured for this store. Go to Settings -> Languages to add a language first." | Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Languages and add at least one additional language |
No content to translate | "No translatable content found. Create product groups first to see translatable fields." | Create at least one product group and make sure it contains products with option values |
Load failure | "Failed to load translations" or "Failed to load languages" | Refresh the page. If the issue continues, contact support |
Translations become available only after both of these conditions are met:
- The store has multiple languages configured.
- At least one product group exists with translatable content.
