Out-of-Stock Behavior

Out-of-stock behavior is controlled at two levels: global logic in the Settings page and visual styling inside each product group.

On the Settings page, you can define how unavailable products behave structurally:

Setting

Label

Description

Default

Hide

"Hide out-of-stock swatches"

When enabled, swatches for out-of-stock products are completely hidden

Off

Push to end

"Push out-of-stock swatches to the end"

When enabled, unavailable swatches appear after available ones

On

If hiding is disabled, out-of-stock products remain visible but can be styled differently inside the group’s visual settings.

Per-group visual controls include:

  • Opacity: Adjust how faded unavailable swatches appear, from 0.1 to 1.0
  • Strikethrough line: Add a diagonal overlay line
  • Line color: Customize the strike color
  • Line opacity: Control transparency of the strike line

This allows you to either subtly fade unavailable items or clearly mark them while keeping them visible for browsing.

In Dropdown swatch mode, unavailable products automatically display a “(Sold out)” label appended to the option text, ensuring clarity even without visual styling.
