Custom Image or Category Button is Disabled

Problem:


The "Set custom image" or "Set category" button is grayed out and cannot be clicked.


Solution:


These options become available only after the product group has been saved at least once.


  1. Click Save to create the product group.
  2. After saving, reopen the group in edit mode.
  3. The Set custom image and Set category buttons will now be active.


Both features are managed through Shopify’s native metaobject editor, where you can upload custom swatch images and assign categories.
